FieldEdge Academy respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we protect it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to fieldedgeacademy.com and the forms, downloads, and chat available on it.
1. Information we collect
We collect only what we need to run the site, respond to you, and improve our training. Depending on how you use the site, this may include:
- Information you give us — your name, email, company, role, and anything else you enter when you submit a form, request the free playbook, book a call, or contact us.
- Chat messages — the content of conversations you start with our on-site chat assistant.
- Usage information — pages visited, links clicked, approximate location, device and browser type, and referring site, collected through cookies and analytics once you consent.
- Communications — emails and messages you exchange with us.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive information (such as health, financial account, or government ID numbers), and we ask that you not send it to us through the site.
2. How and why we use it
We use personal information to:
- respond to your requests, deliver the resources you ask for, and follow up about our programs;
- operate, secure, and improve the website and our training content;
- understand — in aggregate — how the site is used, so we can make it better;
- send you information you have asked for or agreed to receive, from which you can unsubscribe at any time;
- meet our legal and regulatory obligations.
We do not sell your personal information.
3. Consent
We rely on your consent to collect and use your personal information for the purposes above. You give consent when you submit a form, start a chat, or accept non-essential cookies through our consent banner. You can withdraw consent at any time — see Your rights and Cookies — though some features may not work without the information they require.
4. Who we share it with
We share personal information only with service providers who help us run the site and our programs, and only as needed for them to do so on our behalf. These include:
- HubSpot — customer-relationship management, forms, email, and the on-site chat assistant.
- Google Analytics — anonymous, aggregate website usage statistics.
- Cookiebot (Usercentrics) — recording and managing your cookie-consent choices.
- Our web host — serving the website.
These providers are bound to protect your information and use it only for the services we ask of them. We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
5. Where your information is stored
Some of our service providers store or process information outside Quebec, including in the United States and other countries. Where information is handled outside Quebec, we take reasonable steps to ensure it receives a comparable level of protection to what it would receive here. By using the site, you understand your information may be processed in these locations.
6. How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described here, to maintain our business relationship with you, or as required by law — after which it is securely deleted or anonymized. As a general rule, we delete inactive contact records within 6 months of your last interaction with us, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
7. How we protect it
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information against loss, theft, and unauthorized access, use, or disclosure — including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to respond appropriately if an incident occurs.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you;
- Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- Withdraw consent or ask us to stop using your information;
- Delete your information, where we are not required to keep it;
- Withdraw from marketing communications at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, contact our privacy officer below. We will respond within the timelines required by law. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may file a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec (cai.gouv.qc.ca).
9. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to run the site, remember your preferences, measure usage, and support our forms and chat. You choose which non-essential cookies are set through the consent banner, and you can change or withdraw that choice at any time. For details, see our Cookie Policy.
10. Children
The site is intended for professionals and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date below, and — for significant changes — take reasonable steps to let you know. Your continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
